Feeding Tips For Puppies

Feeding Tips For Puppies.jpg

A puppy’s nutritional requirements are higher than that of adult dogs because it helps them keep up with their requirements for growth and development. In fact, they need to eat 2-4 times as much as adult dogs, which means they can certainly eat a lot of food during their first 6 months of life.

As a rule of thumb, the birth weight of puppies should double 1 week after birth; this means they should gain at least 1-2 grams per pound of expected adult weight on a daily basis during this period.

Puppy food contains higher amounts of protein, vitamins, minerals, and fats to meet their needs for growth and development adequately. Ingredients may vary between brands, but as long as they adhere to the nutrient standards for growth established by AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials), pet owners should not worry about their puppy’s diet.  Learn more from veterinarians Hiring visit on the given link.
